A binge urge is a wave. Get past the top
A binge urge feels permanent while you're in it. It isn't. Urges tend to build, peak and then drop off, as long as you don't act on them. Learning to sit through that curve is often called urge surfing.
The practical job is small: get past the top of the wave. That's what the green button in the app is for. It gives you something to do for the next few minutes instead of arguing with the craving.
The video ends on the free reading list. A good place to start there is the glossary of craving and urge terms, which explains urge surfing and the other ideas the app is built on.
